Research on Xinli Dialect

Xinli Dialect is important sub dialect of Cantonese in northen Qinzhou of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,but it receives few studies.Combined with latest researches on Pinghua and hierarchy analysis of its phonetic system,and examined from the aspect of phonetic characteristics with humanistic features,it can be seen that the dialect originated from the Pinghua Dialect in southern Guangxi and underwent new changes due to strong influences from Lianzhou Dialect and Qinzhou vernacular in different periods.The reveal of the dialect's nature may show the evolution features of Pinghua Dialect of southern Guangxi in areas of Qinzhou and Lianzhou,and is helpful to further understand the division of Qinzhou-Lianzhou Cantonese.
