Abstract
Objective:To study the expression of P53 protein and its clinical significance in gallbladder carcinoma. Methods:The expression of P53 protein was examined in tissues of gallbladder cancer and cholecystitis by S P immunohistochemistry. Results:The positive rate of P53 protein in gallbladder carcinoma was 71.7%(38/ 53) which was significantly higher than 0(0/ 12)in cholecystitis(P0.01).The expression of P53 protein in gallbladder carcinoma was associated with the histological differentiation of tumor cell and Nevin stage of gallbladder cancer(P0.05).Conclusion:P53 protein play an important role in the occurrence and development of gallbladder cancer and it could act as an important prognostic indicator in gallbladder carcinoma.
