The application of clinical pathway for patients with laparoscopic cholecystectomy

Objective To study the clinic effect of clinical pathway(CP) in patients with laparoscopic cholecystectohmy.Methods 202 patients were randomly divided into test group(n=102) and control group(n=100).Holistic nursing care was applied in control group; both holistic nursing care and clinical pathway were applied in test group.The average days of hospitalization,average costs of hospitalization,degree of the patients’ satisfaction and the apprehension for health knowledge were compared with in two groups.Results The average days and the costs of hospitalization were reduced in test group than that in control group(P0.01).The degree of the patients’ satisfaction and the apprehension of health knowledge were better in test group than that in control group(P0.01).Conclusion Clinical pathway may reduce the day of hospitalization and the medical cost,improve the efficiency and quality of care.
