An Examination on the Reception of "Ya Shi" Poems by Liu Zongyuan in Song Dynasty

Ya Shi by Liu Zongyuan are dynastic hymns to praise the emperors,which is considered as a successful succession of the four-line poems dated back to the tradition of Ya(Elegance) in The Book of Songs.Ya Shi Poems by Liu Zongyuan has mainly been received in Song Dynasty in two aspects: the content that upholds the classicism and the language that seeks for elegance,which reflects that a revival of Confucianism and an academic tendency of classicism in the Song Dynasty.
