Abstract

Being good at creating new words in language and imitation in style were the main arts of LIU Zongyuan's prose appreciated by people in Song dynasty.The acceptance of Liu's prose in Song dynasty and the process of Confucianism revival movement in Song dynasty derivde from the same origin,which reflected that Song people applied to creating essay and carried out reviving the Confucian tradition.
