Abstract

Objective To analyze the clinical effect of endometriosis treated by combination of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. Methods Sixty patients with endometriosis who had been treated in our hospital from January 2006 to March 2013 were selected as the research objects and were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group. The patients of two groups were given Mifepristone oral treatment from the 5th of menstrual cycle. On the basis of this, the patients of the experimental group were added traditional Chinese medicine treatment. The therapeutic effect of two groups were observed after three months of treatment. Results The total effective rate of the experimental group was 73.3%, while that of the control group was 50.0%, the difference was statistically significance between two groups(P 0.05). The recurrence rate after one year in experimental group was 3.3%, while that in the control group was 16.7%, the difference was statistically significance between two groups(P 0.05). 15 patients were complicated with infertility before the treatment in the experimental group, of which 7 patients got pregnant within a year. While 14 patients were complicated with infertility before the treatment in the control group, of which 2 patients got pregnant within a year. The difference was statistically significance between two groups(P 0.05). Conclusion On the basis of mifepristone, using traditional Chinese medicine decoction to treat endometriosis has obvious curative effect. It is worthy of popularization and application in clinic.
