Clinical analysis of nipple discharge in 48 patients

Abstract

Objective To investigate the cause,diagnosis and operative treatment of nipple discharge.Method48cases of nipple discharge diagnosed and treated in hospital were retrospectively studied.Results Most of the nipple discharge occurred in the non-lactation period were pathological discharge such as intraductal papillomatosis(54.2%),breast cancer(18.8%),ductal di-latation(22.9%),cystic hyperplasia(4.2%).The patients with breast cancer over45years were77.8%.Conclusion Active treat-ment is importtant for any nipple discharge especially for bloody discharge.Early diagnosis and treatment of nipple discharge is of clinical significance.The possibility of breast carcinoma increased obviously in patient over45years of
