Abstract
With Changfengli and Shibixi watersheds in Ninghua county as study cases, from the macro and micro two aspects the dynamic change of soil and water losses, the condition of natural vegetation succession, vegetation coverage, trees growth rate, and the indexes of economic and social benefits in Changfengli and Shibixi watersheds were monitored. Management of the basin soil erosion area is 2 675 hm2, management level 80.4%, and comprehensive management measures conservation rate above 80%; appropriate grass and forest area of more than 80%; vegetation coverage rate increased from 50.4% to 56.0%; improve the efficiency of the flood control and sediment reduction, sediment reduction rate is above 70%; watershed soil erosion modulus reduces from 2 533 t/(km2·a)to 1 500 t/(km2·a). Through comprehensive management, soil erosion area and strength in the basin have been significantly decreased and good management efficiency achieved.
