Abstract

Objective To study the expression of p16 in human non-small cell lung cancer and it's significance to pathogenesis,clinical type and lymphnode metastasis of this cancer.Methods 59 cases of NSCLC were detected by using ABC immunohistochemical technique.Results The positive rate of p16 protein expression in NSCLC was 47.5%.p16 protein expression was correlated with lymphnode matastasis.Conclusions p16 protein negative expression is significantly related to the lymphnode metastasis of NSCLC.It may play an important role in predicting the biological behavior and prognosis of NSCLC.
