Abstract

OBJECTIVE To discuss the distribution and transition of drug resistance of nosocomial Pseudomonas aeruginosa(PAE) infection, and provide experimental evidence for clinical rational drug use.METHODS A restrospective analysis for nosocomial infection with PAE was made from 1998 to 2007.RESULTS A total of 751 strains were isolated during the ten years. The most PAE strains were cultured from the infection of suptum and wounds in our hospital.Nosocomial infection caused by PAE happened frequently in department of cadre(26.8%) and intensive care units(ICU)(18.6%).Drug resistance rates increased over a decade during 1998-2005,while decreased during 2006-2007.The resistant rates of cefoperazone/sulbactam,amikacin,imipenem,ciprofloxacin,ceftazidime,cefepime,piperacillin/tazobactam,piperacillin,aztreonam,ticacillin/clavulanic acid, were 22.6%,23.9%,26.9%,31.4%,33.6%,33.7%,36.9%,39.0%,40.0% and 63.1%,respectively.Eighteen strains resistant to all the drugs were found during ten years.CONCLUSIONS It′s very important to use drugs rationally according to the drug sensitivity results.
