Abstract
Objective To study the relationship between p53 protein and P glycoprotein(P gp)expression in breast cancer tissues. Methods 50 breast cancer specimens were examined for p53 protein and P gp by immunohistochemical methods. Results The positive rate of p53 expression is 64%,of P gp is 50%.In p53 positive groups, the levels of P gp expression (65.6%)is significantly higher than(22.2%) p53 negative groups,( P 0.005 ).Conclusions Mutation of p53 gene may result in high expression of MDR1 gene;High expression of P gp can not be used as a predictor of prognosis and biological behavior in breast cancer.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
