Abstract
SVC and STATCOM are two commonly used types of new flexible alternating current transmission system(FACTS) devices.STATCOM and SVC are compared in output characteristics,improving power transmission stability,response time,harmonic analysis and economy.STATCOM and SVC have the advantages of quick response time, advanced control method,less current harmonic content and good economy after comparing by simulation.
