Abstract

Objective:To study the efficacy and toxicity of calcium folinate,5 FU and oxaliplatin combined therapy in treatment of advanced gastric cancer.Methods:26 patients were enrolled into the study. The regimen used were:patients were given on each Monday 130mg·m -2 oxaliplatin infusion,on each Monday~Wednesday 200mg·m -2 ·d -1 calcium folinate infusion;after calcium folinate infusion on each Monday,0.75mg 5 FU iv injection were given followed by 3.0g·m -2 5 FU infusion lasted for 72h.1 course of treatment consisted of 4 weeks, each patient at least received 2 courses of treatment.Results:2 patients were CR (complete response),9 patients were PR (partial response) with an overall response rate (CR+PR) of 42.3%.The main toxicity of the regimen was arrest of bone marrow, oral mucositis, diarrhea but no serious nerve damage. Conclusions:The combined therapy for treatment of advanced gastric cancer is safe and effective.
