Abstract
Objective: To optimize extraction technology of Pearl Drop pill. Methods: Orthogonal experiments were carried out, using 3,4-O-dicaffeoyl-quinic acid and glycyrrhizic acid as evaluation indexes to develop a suitable extraction technology through studying imbitition amount, decoction duration, decoction times, and concentration of alcohol precipitation. Results: The optimal water extration condition was as follows: decocting the drug for three times in tenfold volume of water,1 hour for each time. The optimal alcohol precipitation extraction condition was as follows: the relative density of drug liquid be adjusted to 1.08,the concentration of alcohol precipitation kept 60%,and stored for 12 hours. Conclusions: This extraction technique is reasonable, feasible, and provids a scientific basis for industrial production.
