Abstract
Ojective To explore the relationship between plasma ET,CGRP and the change of BP day and night and the mechanism in the dipper hypertension and non dipper hypertension patients. Methods Plasma ET,CGRP were measured by RIA in 117 hypertensive patients and 56 healthy individuals as control(group A). 117 patents were divided into two groups: group B(dippertype and group C(non\|dipper\|hypertension) by 24 hours ABPM. Results ET value was higher among group B and C in the day, group C in the night than control( P 0 05, P 0 01, P 0 01). CGRP value was lower in group B and C and night than in control(group A). Conclusion Elevation of ET level during day and night time is associated with dipper hypertension, indicating increase in secretion or activity of ET. However secretion of CGRP was decreased during day and night, reflecting the imbalance between ET and CGRP may play role in the development of hypertension.
