Clinical observation on the therapeutic effect of Danhong Injection in the treatment of senior patients with vertebrobasiIar insufficiency

Objective To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of Danhong Injection in the treatment of senior patients with vertebrobasilar insufficiency(VBI).Methods 64 patients were randomly divided into treatment group(n = 32) and control group(n = 32).The treatment group was treated by normal saline(250 mL) plus Danhong Injection(20 mL) with Mainline one time each day.The control group was treated by normal saline(250 mL) plus Danshen Injection(20 mL) with Mainline one time each day.The Period of treatment is lasting 14 days.After 14 days' therapy,the clinical therapeutic effect and changes in the parameters of TCD and hemorheology were observed.Results The total effective rate in the treatment group was 90.63% but 71.88% in control group(P 0.01).Through TCD,measuring blood flow velocity,it was significantly in creased after treatment than before treatment in two groups(P 0.01),the treatment group was significant increased than that of control group(P 0.05).After therapy,the parameters of hemorheology after therapy compared with before ther apy in treatment group,there was significant difference(P 0.01),and there was no significant difference in control group(P 0.05).Conclusion Danhong Injection shows a significant clinical therapeutic effect in the treatment of patients with VBI.It is able to increase blood flow vaule with VBI.It is able to improve the Microcirculation and to decrease the Blood viscosity.
