Abstract

Objective To evaluate the relationship between C-reactive protein(CRP) and coronary heart disease(CHD) and its cardiac events. Methods The data of 166 patients with stable angina pectoris(SAP),unstable angina pectoris(UAP),acute no S-T segment elevation myocardial infarction or acute myocardial infarction(AMI)from November 2005 to June 2006 were collected and compared with 24 normal persons for physical examination. The relation of blood serum density of CRP in 24-hours from onset and incidence of heart event followed up 35 days was evaluated. Results Compared with normal control group, the expressions of CRP in different clinical type of CHD were significant differences(P0.01),and expressions of CRP among different clinical type were also significant differences(P0.01).Conclusions CRP may play an important role in generation and development of CHD,and the high level of CRP can lead to severe clinical situation, bad prognosis and high incidence of heart events.
