Abstract

A method for the determination of 14 rare earth elements in high-purity Europium oxide has been developed in this paper. The interferences of matrix Eu2O3 on the 14 elements measured and their detection limits were studied. The instrumental parameters including R. F. generator power, carrier gas flow rate, height of torch installed and the temperature of dedissolved chamber were optimized with cross test and the flow rate of sampling. The detection limits of the 14 RE elements are Yb2O3 0. 5; Y2O3 1.0; Dy2O3, Ho2O3, Tm2O3 and Nd2 O3 5. 0; Gd2O3, Sm2O3 Er2O3, CeO2, Pr6O11 and La2O3 10; Tb4O7 and Lu2O3 20 and Tb4O730 μg.g-1, respectively. The recoveries of this procedure are between 88% and 112%. The rellative standard deviation (RSD) is within 11 %.
