Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in breast carcinoma,and the relationship of them.Methods Sixty-four women with primary breast carcinoma were studied for the expression of VEGF proteins using automated immunohistochemical assay.Results Forty(63%) breast carcinoma cases were found positive for VEGF.The expression of VEGF were negatively correlated significantly to the estrogen receptor(ER) and progesterone receptor(PR),and VEGF were positivly correlated to tumor size,lymph node metastasis and carinoma grading.Conclusion VEGF is an important prgnosis factor in breast carcinoma.
