Abstract
From Late Qing Dynasty,scholars believed that'western'and'modern'were the right standards when they did their research of Huang zong-xi's thoughts,and thus induced lots of misunderstand.In late Qing and early period of Republic of China,as the result of the political purpose,they regarded his political thoughts had equal value as the western ideas.In'May 4th Movement',they compared his thought with Western under the models of'East vs.West'.In the early period of People's Republic of China,Marxism scholars re-classified his social position.During the Great Cultural Revolution,he was highly valued as a Legalist.From the period of Reform and Opening-up,the research about him became more and more diverse,and scholars have begun to build a common research frame.
