Abstract
The law of the regional autonomy for the ethnic minorities has had an essential effect in promoting the development of economy,guaranteeing the national interests and maintaining national unity in the national minority area since it was promulgated.While with the development of the reformation of economy and society in our country,the law of the regional autonomy for the ethnic minorities needs amendments and complements for something imperfect.This paper provides reference for the amendments in the future through the specific analysis for amendment's reasons and backgrounds and by taking the amendments to the law of the regional autonomy for the ethnic minorities from national people's congress in February 28,2001 as an example.
