Abstract
Objective:To explore the efficacy, advantage and safety of laparoscopic high ligation of spermatic vein for treatment of varicocele. Methods:The clinical data of 85 cases underwent high ligation of spermatic vein were reviewed. Results:The operations were successful in all the cases. The mean operation time was 32min with little bleeding. The average postoperative hospitalization was 3 days.During the follow-up of 3 to 10 months,3 cases recurred(recurrent rate 3.5%).Conclusions:Laparoscopic treatment for varicocele has advantage of minimally invasive, faster recovery and effective with few complications, especially for recurrent and bilateral varicocele patients.
