Abstract
Since deep-water turbidite sand body is smaller,irregular distribution and stronger heterogeneity,it is especially necessary to use imaging logging data with high resolution,high coverage percentage and high visualization.The main applications of imaging logging data are: ①The calibrated imagings are used to recognise turbidite rock assemblage and sedimentary sequences,and re-establishing more accurate lithological profiles.②Through the recognition of microscopic sedimentary structures,the writer points out that the direct evidence of recognition of deep-water gravity flow deposits is various slump deformation structure and Bouma sequence,rather than flushing action,normally graded and cross bedding sedimentary structure,etc.③Take advantage of imaging logging which are directional,use deforming mudstone and deeply deviated mudstone to determine the paleocurrent direction indirectly,cleverly solved problems of turbidite rock which is not rich in cross bedding and can't accurately determine the paleocurrent direction.
