The correlation of p53 and p63 expression and Hp infectionin in gastric carcinoma

Objective:To determine Hp infection,p53 and p63 expression in gastric carcinoma and investigate their relationships with the feature of clinical pathology.Methods:The expression of Hp,p53 and p63 in 144 cases of gastric carcinoma was detected by tissue -microarray and immunohistochemistry.Results:p53 mutations were detec-ted in 80 /144 gastric carcinomas(55.6%),p63 expression were detected in 53 /144 gastric carcinomas(36.8%),Hp expression were detected in 94 /144 gastric carcinomas(65.3%).The expression of p53 in gastric carcinoma was correlated with histological type and pathological grade(P <0.05),but not correlated with lymph node metastasis and the depth of invasion.the expression of p63 in poorly differentiated gastric carcinoma was obviously more than well -moderately differentiated gastric carcinoma(P <0.05),but not correlated with the location of tumor,the depth of in-vasion and lymph node metastasis.the expression of p53 in gastric carcinoma was positively correlated with Hp infec-tion(r =0.20,P <0.05).Conclusion:High expression of p53 and p63 have closed relationship with the occurrence and prognosis of gastric carcinoma,but p53 and p63 expression in gastric carcinoma have no interaction Hp infection and high expression of p53 in gastric carcinoma also have certain correlation.
