Study on the clinical effect of cortisomol paste and vitapex paste in the treatment of chronic periapical periodontitis

Objective To discuss the clinical effect of cortisomol paste and vitapex paste in the treatment of chronic periapical periodontitis.Methods Sixty-eight patients who suffer chronic periapical periodontitis were selected randomly.Their root canals were filled with cortisomol paste plus gutta percha point.Their periapical absorption areas were filled with vitapex paste.Results These patients were checked 3 months,6 months and 1 year respectively after the treatment was reduced and cleared away.Apical foramen was closed very well.Conclusion The joint application of cortisomal paste and vitapex paste in the treatment of chronic periapical periodontitis not only helps to restore hyperosteogeny in the area of the apical shadow,but also leads to a good closure of apical foramen.The therapy can effectively cure periapical periodontitis and prevent secondary infection or recurrence.
