Clinical value of detection of plasma vWF in patients with coronary artery disease

Abstract

In this study we explored the clinical value of detection of plasma von Willebrand factor(vWF)in patients with coronary artery disease(CAD).We enrolled 104in-hospital patients with CAD and 96control subjects with health examination in clinic service.Their plasma vWF level and serum TC,TG,HDL-C and LDL-C were measured.The vWF,LDL-C and TC level in CAD group were statistically much higher than those in control group(P0.05).The morbidity of CAD in group of lipids normal with vWF150% was higher than that in control group.It indicated that elevated vWF level may be an independent risk factor for occurrence of CAD which blood lipids was not increased.
