Abstract
In China, universities are undergoing a reform of teaching methods. We saw the influence of the theory of the Communicative Approach in English language teaching and put it into our practice with the hope to find ways proper for the college ELT in China. With the aim to foster college students' English language communicative competence, based on the relationship between language and culture, we've discussed on the principles of the cultural input and introduced our practical methods of college ELT within a communicative framework.
