Clinical and Experimental Study on Ziyin Qinggan Xiaocuo Decoction for Treatment of 48 Cases of Acne Vulgaris

Abstract

Objective To study on clinical therapeutic effect and the mechanism of Ziyin Qinggan Xiaocuo Decoction for treatment of ache vulgaris.Methods:80 cases of acne vulgaris were randomly divided into a treatment group(Ziyin Qinggan Xiaocuo Decoction group,18 cases)and a control group(tetracycline group,32 cases),and serum testosterone(T)and estradiol(E_2)level before and after treatmcnt were determined and the antibacterial test in vitro was carried out.Results:The total effective rate was 85.42% in tbe treatment group and 81.38% in the control group with no significant difference between the two groups(P0.05).Minimal inhibiting bacteria content(MIC)of Ziyin Qinggan Xiaocuo Decoction for acne propionic bacillus was 12.5mg/ml and for Staphylococcus Aureus was 25.0mg/ml.Conclusion:This recipe is of obvious anti-androgen and mild estrogen activities.
