Abstract
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Huoxue Tongluo Decoction foot bathing combined with oral use of mecobalamin for treating low-limb peripheral neuropathy in type 2 diabetes. Methods:Sixty patients were equally divided into the treatment group and the control group. Both groups were given the hypoglycemic for decreasing blood glucose to the targeting level. The control group was given oral use of mecobalamin, while the treatment group was treated with Huoxue Tongluo Decoction foot bathing additionally. The treatment of two groups lasted 8 consecutive weeks. Results:The total effective rate was 96.67% in the treatment group, and 76.67% in the control group, the difference being significant(P 0.05).After treatment, the motor nerve conduction velocity of sural was remarkably improved in the treatment group(P 0.05 compared with that in the control group). Conclusion:The efficacy of Huoxue Tongluo Decoction foot bathing combined with oral use of mecobalamin proves to be superior to mecobalamin alone in the treatment of low-limb peripheral neuropathy in type 2 diabetes.
