The Combined Clinical Efficacy of Chinese Traditional and Western Medicine on Primary Hypertension

Objective To explore the combined efficacy of Chinese traditional and Western medicine on primary hypertension.Methods 107 cases were randomly divided into Western medicine treatment group(Control group,50 cases)and Chinese and Western Medicine Combined treatment group(Treatment group,57 cases).Control group were treated with conventional antihypertensive drugs such as Nifedipine,Betaloc and Aspirin Enteric-coated Tablets.In addition to the drugs used in control group,treatment group were treated with Tianmagouteng drink for Hyperactivity type,Qijudihuang decoction for Liver and Kidney Yin Deficiency Pattern,and Jinkui Shenqi Pill for Yin and Yang deficiency type,accordingly to dialectic treatment in Traditional Chinese Medicine.After three months of treatment,the improvement of symptoms and blood pressure were observed.Results The comprehensive efficacy,the overall efficiency of clinical symptoms improvement and the situation of blood pressure improvement in treatment group were superior to the control group,the differences were statistically significant between the two group(P0.05).Conclusion The clinical efficacy can be improved by comprehensive use of Chinese traditional medicine and western medicine.
