Abstract
A revised load-transfer method through integrating the Mindlin′s solution is introduced to make the calculated settlement of a foundation pile more suitable to the practical value.At the same time,the revised method can be used to calculate the settlement of a bored pile and that of a foundation pile caused by negative frictional resistance around the pile.
