The Excavation and Reflection of Legends in Tang Dynasty in the Perspective of Bibliography

DU De-qiao holds that it is because of the artificial classification of literature works that scholars have neglected legends in Tang Dynasty,for example,The Story of DING Yue.There is something reasonable in Du's remarks,which is beneficial for the extension of the research on legends in Tang Dynasty.However,Du's remarks can be further discussed.Keeping books in their natural status may cause to the confusion of ancient Chinese books.The silence of the literature significance is caused by the obscurity of the conception of legends and the great amount of Chinese ancient books.
