Abstract
The charge transfer reaction between Amikacin and alizarin red in water solution was investigated by spectrophotometry. At room temperature,Amikacin could react with alizarin red to form a 1:1 complex in the presence of water, and its maximum absorption wavelength is at 520 nm.The apparent molar absorptivity of complex is 1.44×103 L·mol-1·cm-1 at 520 nm.The Beer's Law is obeyed in the range of 5×10-5 mol/L~6×10-4 mol/L of Amikacin. The linear regression equation is A=0.23+1439.5c (mol/L) with a linear correlation coefficient 0f 0.9992 and the RSD of six determination is 0.31%.The recovery is 97.6 %~101.6 %.The proposed method with simple and rapid has been applied to the determination of Amikacin in sample with satisfactory results.
