Clinical Study on Huangkui Capsules in Treatment of Primary Nephrotic Syndrome

OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of Huangkui Capsules in treatment of primary nephroticsyndrome.METHODS Sixty cases with primary nephrotic syndrome were randomly divided into two groups.The treated group(30 cases) were treated with Huangkui Capsules added prednisone and/or cyclophosphamide,and the controlled group(30 cases) were treated with prednisone and/or cyclophosphamide only.The total effective rate,the indexes and the side effect were compared in two groups.RESULTS The indexes of proteinuria in 24 hours,blood urea nitrogen(BUN),blood lipid in two groups were lower compared with those before treatment.But it was better in the treated group(P0.05).The total effective cases in the treated group was higher than those in the controlled group.The occuring cases of side effect in treated group was lower than patients in the controlled group(P0.05).No significant difference was observed on the changes of the renal function in the two groups(P0.05).CONCLUSION The therapeutic effect of Huangkui Capsules added prednisone and/or cyclophosphamide used to primary nephritic syndrome is superior to prednisone and/or cyclophosphamide used only;in addition,it shows a trend to reduced side effects of the prednisone.
