Identity of Japanese Vernacular and Written Language and the VernacularMovement in China

Both the movement of identity of vernacular and written in Japan and the vernacular movement in China took place under the requirement of the reform in the two countries during the process of modernization. The so-called identity of vernacular and written solves the problem of writing style and removes the language barrier when introducing the western culture, while the vernacular movement in China is an important part of New Culture Movement and promotes the absorption of foreign culture. The former took place earlier, and the latter was advocated by the Chinese scholars who had studied in Japan and benefited from the experience of the movement in Japan.
