Abstract

s Objective: Discuss measurement and dynamic change of newborn infants hypoxic-isalchemic encephalo-pathy (HIE) andneuron-specific enolase. Method: Measure 56 cases of HIE infant’s cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and serum NSE during their paroxysm andrelived period and compare with the sample group. Result: HIE group’s CSF and serum in paroxysm and relived period NSE are obvi-ously higher than those of sample group (P 0.01). Heavier HIE is remarkably higher than medium HIE while medium HIE is distinc-tively higher than light HIE (P 0.01). All sample groups HIE and NSE is remarkably lower than blood serum NSE (P 0.01). Con-clusion: HIE will lead to the rise of CSF and serum NSE and NSE of CSF and serum is closely related. NSE in convalescence remainshigh. NSE level is related with period of disease.
