Treatment of Diabetic Nephropathy with Bushen Huazhuo Capsule:A Clinical Report of 98 Cases

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Bushen Huazhuo Capsule for the patients with diabetic nephropathy.Methods Totally 162 patients with diabetic nephropathy were divided as control group and trial group.All the patients were given conventional treatments of controlling diet,blood sugar and blood pressure.The patients in the control group were orally given Lotesin,while the patients in the trial group were given Bushen Huazhuo Capsule for 3 months.Then a comparison was conducted between the two groups on the Chinese medicine symptom integral,and the changes of urine protein,lipids,serum nitric oxide(NO),and serum C-reactive protein(CRP).Results After treatment,the difference in Chinese medicine symptom integral between the two groups was statistically significant(P0.05).But there was no significant difference between the two groups in excretion rate of urine protein and 24h urine protein(P0.05).The levels of total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG) and CRP decreased,and the NO level increased(P0.05).The levels of TC,TG,CRP,and NO after treatment between the two groups showed significant difference(P0.05),but the clinical effects showed no significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion Bushen Huazhuo capsule can improve the clinical symptoms of diabetic nephropathy to protect the kidney by lowering urine protein,controlling inflammation reaction of the kidney,raising serum NO and improving metabolic disorder of blood-lipid.
