Abstract

The Xiang family of Henei was a family of well-known aristocracy.They had a wide selection for their marriage.This paper divides their selections of marriage into three groups: the royalty,the bureaucratic,and the officials and Chinshi(successful candidates in the highest imperial examinations).The paper then analyzes the three groups and draws a conclusion that the Xiang family of Henei valued the family status greatly.
