Effect of Genistein on Hemodynamics of Myocardial Ischemia Rats

Abstract

[Objective]The aim was to study the protection of genistein for myocardial ischemia rats and to observe the effect of genistein on the hemodynamic parameters in myocardial ischemia rats.[Method]To establish acute myocardial infarction(AMI) model by ligating left anterior descending coronary artery.The myocardial infarction model rats were randomly divided into: myocardial ischemia model group,sham operation group,genistein high,medium and low dose group,Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge control group.To measure the maximal rise rate(+dp/dtmax) of left ventricular isovolumic contraction ventricular pressure and the maximum rate descent(-dp/dtmax) of left ventricular isovolumic relaxation ventricular pressure in the same time.To determine myocardial infarction area in each group based on N-BT staining method.[Results] Genistein significantly increased LVSP,± dp/dt max and decreased LVEDP of myocardial ischemia rats.There was significant difference(P0.05) compared with model group.Genistein can reduce myocardial infarction size of myocardial ischemia rats caused by ligating coronary artery.There was significant difference(P0.05) compared with model group.[Conclusion]Genistein can improve ventricular wall compliance of myocardial ischemia rats,improve cardiac function and reduce myocardial infarction size of myocardial ischemia rats.
