Abstract
Objective To explore the effect and safety of amiodarone in the treatment of senile congestive heart failure(SCHF).Methods 106 cases of SCHF concomitant with ventricular arrhythmias patients caused by a variety of reasons were randomly divided into treatment group and control group according to hospitalized order. The two groups were treated with the same anti-CHF therapy, the treatment group was plused by amiodarone tablets with 0.2g,3 times/day,a week, further 0.2g,2 times/day,a week, later 0.1 to 0.2g,1 times/day to the end.The end of follow-up time was 24 months. Finally we analyzed the two groups in the anti-ventricular arrhythmias, left ventricular ejection fraction, sudden cardiac death, heart failure rehospitalization rates, adverse drug reactions, and so on.Results In treatment group,53 cases with low-dose amiodarone therapy can significantly increase the effectiveness of anti-arrhythmic,improve left ventricular ejection fraction and reduced the rate of sudden cardiac death and heart failure rehospitalization. The role of drug-induced arrhythmia and serious adverse reactions were lessen. Conclusion SCHF concomitant with ventricular arrhythmias treated with low-dose amiodarone has fewer side effects and obvious safety and is suited for the application of primary hospital.
