Abstract
Objective To investigate the different plasma levels of N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) treated with different reperfusion therapies, and the relationship between them and short-term prognosis.MethodsA total of 113 patients with AMI were divided into the group of emergency percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI group, (n=74) and the group of intravenous thrombolysis (IT group,n=39).The plasma level of NT-proBNP was determined quantitatively by fluoroimmunoassay in two groups.The relationship between the plasma level of NT-proBNP and short-term prognosis was analyzed in two groups.ResultsThe plasma level of NT-proBNP in PCI group was lower significantly (P0.05) compared with that in IT group.The plasma level of NT-proBNP was negatively correlated to the incidence rate of major adverse cardiac event (MACE, P0.01).ConclusionThe patients with AMI treated with early emergency PCI have much lower plasma level of NT-proBNP than those with intravenous thrombolytic therapy.The plasma level of NT-proBNP is significant to the estimation of the prognosis after reperfusion treatment in AMI patients.
