Abstract
To investigate the effect of Jiawei Fuling Zexie Decoction(JWFLZXD)on the levels of serum nitric oxide content and myeloperoxidase activity in hyperlipidemia rats, and study its therapeutic mechanism in the treatment of hyperlipidemia,60 health SPF male SD rats were used,10 rats were randomly selected as the blank group, and the rest as a high-fat diet group. After the modeling successfully with vitamin D3 and high-fat emulsions, randomly selected 40 rats in high-fat diet group were equally divided into model group,JWFLZXD high-dosage group,low-dosage group and the simvastatin group, every groups contain 10 rats. The rats in the three experiment groups were given appropriate medication for 28 days. The seral lipid parameters,MPO and NO were detected in rats before and after treatment.Compared with the model group, the levels of TC,TG,LDGL-C and MPO in the JWFLZXD high-dosage group and low-dosage group were significantly reduced(P0.05).The levels of HDL-C and NO were significantly raised(P0.05).The effects of JWFLZXD high-dosage group on the lipid parameters, the content of NO,the active of MPO and the liver index in rats were almost equivalent to the simvastatin group's.The result revealed that JWFLZXD can inhibit the activitity of MPO to increase NO levels, and thus to play aprotective role on the integrity of the vascular endothelial function.
