Abstract
It has become a mainstream that cities have gradually participated in competition in the form of clusters,and city group carbon competitiveness will demonstrate that of the city itself. In this study,principal component analysis is applied to analyze the carbon competitiveness from 2007 to 2011 of the following four city groups,namely,the Pearl River Delta City Group,Beijing – Tianjin – Tangshan City Group,Wuhan City Circle and Hu-Bao-E City Group. Here are the main findings: Among the four city groups,Hu-Bao-E City Group has the most highest carbon competitiveness,while Wuhan City Circle is the weakest,which is not subject to the distribution characteristics that the competitiveness of city group gradually becomes stronger or weaker from east to west. Instead,each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages in the development of carbon competitiveness. In this sense,this paper aims to propose feasible suggestions to enhance the carbon competitiveness of city groups in our country.
