Abstract

Based o n Wen Yiduo′s pleasure of life and spirit of learning,this paper analyses the relation between his theory of new poetry and research of Tang poetry,and points out that his classical poetry studies formed the base of his theory of new poetry.The new poetry theory is the sublation of traditional poetry studies.His studies of Tang poetry became the main part of modern Tang poetry studies,especially the anthology of Tang poetry.
