On College Library and Information Quality Education for College Students

This paper discusses the important roles played by the information literacy education of Collge students in giving college students lifelong education,developing their creative thinking, helping them to cope with information overloading, as well as normalizing their information activities. It points out that the college library should, make use of their rich resources of professionals and environment,undertake the task of information literacy education for college students and become the main position for their comprehensive quality education. It also illustrates how the college library, in the course of giving information literacy education, has improved its librarians' comprehensive abilities and expanded its educational functions so as to push forward the sustainable development of itself.
