The Role of Libraries in Information Literacy Learning for College Students

Information literacy,as one of the essential characteristics for talents during the information age,is also the first quality mastered by contemporary college students in the knowledge economy age.Library has played a decisive role in the information literacy education.Strengthening the cultivation and improvement of information literacy of college students is a demand of our society upon the higher learning education and also a need for higher learning education to go with the social development and deepen the educational reforms.The public library should take its advantage of rich resources,technical and professional talents to cultivate and enhance the information literacy of college students.
