Abstract

Aim: To investigate the expressions of IGF-Ⅱ in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma tissue. Methods:The expression of IGF-Ⅱin 54 cases of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma tissue, 22 cases of non-typical hyperplasia tissue adjacent to carcinoma and 54 cases of normal mucosa tissue was detected by immunohistochemistry SP method, and the relation between the expressions of IGF-Ⅱand the invasion and metastasis of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma was analyzed. Results: The positive rates of IGF-Ⅱin esophageal squamous cell carcinoma tissue, non-typical hyperplasia tissue and normal esophageal mucous tissue were 85.19%,63.64% and 22.22%,respectively, and the difference between any two groups was statistically significant(P0.01). IGF-Ⅱwas related to the depth of invasion and the metastasis of lymph node of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.(P0.05).Conclusion: The high expression of IGF-Ⅱ is related to the cacinogenesis and development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
