Abstract
Objective: To explore clinical effects of cataract phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation on the elderly diabetic patients. Methods: 90 cases(128 eyes) of diabetic cataract patients were treated by cataract phacoemulsification combined intraocular lens implantation, and 90 cases(128 eyes) of cataract patients without diabetes as control, postoperative complications were observed in 2 groups. Results: Postoperative complications were significantly higher in diabetic cataract patients than that in non diabetic one. Conclusion: That effectively controlling blood glucose before and after operation is conducive to the prevention of postoperative complications in treating diabetic cataract patients with cataract phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation.
