Abstract

Conceptual Metaphor Theory is the main theory applied in the studying of polysemy in Cognitive Linguistics.But due to the limitations of this theory,problems appear when it is applied to the study of polysemy.This paper analyzes these problems,introduces the new development of polysemy study and its enlightenment in Chinese study.
