Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To analyze the use of anti-infectives in our hospital and to provide basis for rational clinical use and scientific management of anti-infectives.METHODS:The analysis was conducted using the methods of defined daily use and order of consumption sum based on the raw data retrieved from Hospital Drug Inventory Management System.RESULTS:Of the total consumption sum of western drugs, the annual consumption sum of anti-infectives accounted for 33.29% on average, lower than or close to that in the other domestic hospitals. The consumption sum of β-Iactams antibiotics ranked far ahead, accounted for 55.8% on average in the total anti-infectives.Penicilins,cephalosporins,quinolones,macrolides and tuberculostatics were the top 5 kinds in terms of DDDs.Of the first 20 drugs in terms of DDDs,the order ratio of 75% were 1.CONCLUSION:The use of anti-infectives in our hospital is basically rational during 2004~2006,but it is necessary to tighten control on the use of anti-infectives.
